BM: Why should you be a BlackMenMagazine model?

YD: I should be a BlackMen Model because I’m a Black women with curves.

 

BM: Did you market yourself to fans on www.Blackmendigital.com?

YD: Yes.

 

BM: Were you always amazingly curvy?

YD: I always was amazingly curvy. I inherited it.

 

BM: What disadvantage do you feel you have as an urban model?

YD: Honestly, as an urban model, I don’t believe I have any disadvantages as I take everything in stride, I believe what God has planned is for me and only me.

 

BM: Do you think that having size 40 or more hips inhibits most models?

YD: I don’t believe it inhibits models. I believe it also gives them their own lane.

 

BM: Where do you train if you are acting?

YD: Right now I’m seeking more acting opportunities and I’m scouting for the best ones.

 

BM: Do you have a commercial head shot?

YD: Yes.

 

BM: Do you understand that without these things on your resume that your career if any, might be short?

YD: My career is not predicated on what others may think, however I’m always open to criticism. It makes me reevaluate my focus on things.

 

BM: Favorite drink?

YD: Kool-aid.

 

BM: Favorite food?

YD: Chicken.

 

BM: Mood music?

YD: I love to listen to love songs.

 

BM: Favorite vacation spot?

YD: My favorite vacation is with family; it does not really have to be a special place, but I love enjoying family moments.

 

BM: Favorite place to be kissed?

YD: My favorite place to be kissed is my stomach.

 

BM: Favorite body part on your man?

YD: My favorite body part on my man is his neck.

 

BM: Favorite place to kiss him?

YD: My favorite place to kiss him is his lips.

 

BM: How often do you measure yourself?

YD: I measure myself once a month.

 

BM: Are you proud of your curves?

YD: Yes.

 

BM: What curvaceous celebrity do you identify with  as a role model for success?

YD: I honestly love actress Angela Bassett’s body and her curves. She seems to be very fit.

 

BM: Have you invested money into your career?

YD: Yes.

 

BM: Do you or would you work a 9 to 5 until your career took off?

YD: Right now I’m in school and I believe in education solely. Education open up doors for careers.

 

BM: If you had an agent, would you refer all assignments to them as in your agreement, or do you feel you should take some work without informing them?

I believe the agent has its role as an agent and I also have a responsibility as the talent. However, I can trust my agent, and I speak with her about anything regarding my career. We both have the same focus at hand. My agent is Sparkle Callahan and my team is Plentykashflow Entertainment. We work together to make things happen.

 

BM: How do you feel about magazines like Elle and Vogue, do you think that they should feature more curvaceous women?

YD: I believe they should feature more, however, you as the talent have to impact them so much that they will have to feature you. As talent, we have to make them say yes.

 

BM: How do you plan to change the game?

YD: I plan to change the game by creating a lane that will inspire models as I believe that creating a lane can open doors for others seeking the same passion.
