BlackMen Digital Interview: Miss Paris

Thursday 17th, March 2011

BM: Why do you think you should be a BlackMen Magazine Model?

MP: I think I have an edgy uniqueness that can appeal to many viewers. I'm nothing like the average.

BM: Did you market yourself to fans on

MP: Yes, of course, I do it every day.

BM: Were you always this amazingly curvy?

MP: Actually no I wasn't. I used to be a Chubby Checker and I lost so much weight. I grew into a nicely proportioned young woman.

BM: What disadvantages do you feel you have as an urban model?

MP: I don't have big ol' thick legs or a large butt like most urban models.

BM: Do you think that having size 40 or more hips inhibits most models?

MP: It all depends on the demographic a model is leaning towards! If she wants to be on a cover showing the beauty of her booty and not her body, then YES!

BM: Where do you train, if you are acting?

MP: I'm not training at the moment.

BM: Do you have a commercial head shot?

MP: Yes, as a matter of fact I do.

BM: Do you understand that without these things on your resume that your career if any, might be short?

MP: Oh of course, it's all about marketing yourself and building your brand! You can't do so without the

necessary tools.

BM: Favorite drink?

MP: Coco Loso (coconut circa and pineapple juice).

BM: Favorite food?

MP: Curry shrimp! Crab legs.

BM: Mood Music?

MP: Any old mixtape Drake, Trey Songz, J. Cole, I like mixtape music. It's when the artist shows the real skill of their craft.

BM: Favorite vacation spot?

MP: Miiiiaaaaammmmiiii

BM: Favorite place to be kissed?

MP: My neck of course, and all over my tattoos!

BM: Favorite body part on your man?

MP: I love those "Ken doll" dimples at the hip! This is true for women as well.

BM: Favorite place to kiss him?

MP: I like to bite his neck! I'm a vampire! ;)

BM: How often do you measure yourself?

MP: I never do.

BM: Are you proud of your curves?

MP: Oh, yes, I embrace every inch of my body, more than often.

BM: What curvaceous celebrity do you identify as a role model for success?

MP: Rosa Acosta! She's amazing and her resume is so extensive that she's an inspiration. Luv Rosita!

BM: Have you invested money into your career?

MP: Oh yes of course. I always say you can’t expect anyone to invest in you without investing in

yourself first.

Q. Do or would you work a 9 to 5 until your career took off?

MP: Yes I would, but I don't.

BM: If you had an agent, would you refer all assignments to them as in your agreement, or do you feel you should take some work without informing them?

MP: I would hand over everything it's their job, not mine. I don't want that responsibility.

BM: How do you feel about magazines like Elle and Vogue, do you think they should feature more curvaceous women?

MP: Honestly, I love those magazines and I don't think they should feature curvy models unless they have that distinct high fashion look.

BM: How do you plan to change the game?

MP: I just want to show that you can be "different" and still be sexy and beautiful in your own skin, no plastic surgery needed.
