BlackMen Digital Interview: Mesha

BM: Why do you think you should be a BlackMen Magazine Model?

M: Because I have the 3 B's: brains, beauty and booty.



BM: Did you market yourself to fans on

M: Yes I did, it was fun to see what my stats would be.



BM: Were you always this amazingly curvy?

M: No, actually I was like 120 pounds until I was 21. So you see why I appreciate my size.



BM: What disadvantages do you feel you have as an urban model?

M: I have a lot of other things going on like school, so it can get very busy for me. At times I can't just focus on modeling.



BM: Do you think that having size 40 or more hips inhibits most models?

M: Yes in some cases. I notice the new look is thin. There is so many different preferences; it all depends on how you market yourself.



BM: Where do you train if you are acting?

M: I haven't taken any training yet, but I’ve rehearsed for a few parts and landed a role. I did very well, if I do say so myself.



BM: Do you have a commercial head shot?

M: Yes, I do.



BM: Do you understand that without these things on your resume that your career if any, might be short?

M: Yes I definitely understand that. I would like urban modeling to help me venture on to being a VJ.



BM: Favorite drink?

M: Patron.



BM: Favorite food?

M: Seafood.



BM: Mood Music?

M: I’m very versatile when it come to music.



BM: Favorite vacation spot?

M: Las Vegas.



BM: Favorite place to be kissed?

M: Right there (wink)!



BM: Favorite body part on your man?

M:Lower stomach.



BM: Favorite place to kiss him?

M: Lower stomach.



BM: How often do you measure yourself?

M: All the time I have clothes made for me so I get measured every week.



BM: Are you proud of your curves?

M: Yes, like I said I was very thin most of my life, so I’m so happy to finally fill out.



BM: Have you invested money into your career?

M: Some.



BM: Do or would you work a 9 to 5 until your career took off?

M: Yes, I always like to have a 9-5 it keeps me grounded.



BM: If you had an agent, would you refer all assignments to them as inyour agreement, or do you feel you should take some work without informing them?

M: I would like to refer all my work to them just to take some things off my hands.



BM: How do you feel about magazines like Elle and Vogue, do you think they should feature more curvaceous women?

M: Being really thin for most women is not realistic. Real women have curves.



BM: How do you plan to change the game?
