BlackMen Digital Interview: Evelyn Diaz

Thursday 17th, March 2011

BM: Why do you think you should be a BlackMen Magazine Model?

ED: First of all,  I like this magazine better than any other, and even though I take modeling as a hobby, I enjoy it a lot. Plus, I’ve got what BlackMen Magazine fans like, 40-inch hips with some double D’s. You give them what they like; curvy models for them are like kids in a candy store.

BM: Did you market yourself to fans on www.Blackmendigital.com?

ED: Yes, it’s one of my favorite sites.

BM: Were you always this amazingly curvy?

ED: Not when I was 10-years old.

BM: Do you think that having size 40 or more hips inhibits most models?

ED: Not if they’re an urban model.

BM: Where do you train if you are acting?

ED: I’m not taking classes right now. I’m focusing on my modeling.

BM: Do you have a commercial head shot?

ED: No.

BM: Do you understand that without these things on your resume that your career if any, might be short?

ED: Yes.

BM: Favorite drink?

ED: Wine.

BM: Favorite food?

ED: Japanese/ Sushi / any Seafood.

BM: Mood Music?

ED: I can listen to anything but Rock.

BM: Favorite vacation spot?

ED: Any tropical or exotic beach where I can enjoy the sun and sand.

BM: Favorite place to be kissed?

ED: The navel and a little below the navel.

BM: Favorite body part on your man?

ED: His butt.

BM: Favorite place to kiss him?

ED: His ears and neck.

BM: How often do you measure yourself?

ED: Every time I see the measure band.

BM: Are you proud of your curves?

ED: Yes, when guys identify me as being a Latina, but no when I can’t fit into my size four jeans.

BM: What curvaceous celebrity do you identify as a role model for success?

ED: Jennifer Lopez and Rosa Acosta.

BM: Have you invested money into your career?

ED: Yes.

BM: Do you or would you work a 9 to 5 until your career took off?

ED: Yes.

BM: If you had an agent, would you refer all assignments to them as in your agreement, or do you feel you should take some work without informing them?

ED: I would inform my agent first.

BM: How do you feel about magazines like Elle and Vogue, do you think they should feature more curvaceous models?

ED: I don’t think they will, even if I say they should. Elle and Vogue are runway magazines. They’re into 5’11”, skinny, extra flat models. But sometimes they will have J. Lo in the cover.

BM: How do you plan to change the game?

ED: I’m just going to be myself and have fun!
