BlackMen Digital Interview: Amber Priddy

Thursday 24th, March 2011

BM: Why do you think you should be a Black Men model?

AP: I know I have what it takes to be a part of the team and I know with my promoting skills and personality, I will definitely sell copies. I also have the proper ASSets.

BM: Did you market yourself on www.Blackmendigital.com?

AP: Yes, I used this as my opportunity to make it into the magazine. I was late signing up and uploading my pictures, but I came in and took over the votes. I made sure that all my fans logged on and repped me.

BM: Were you always amazingly curvy?

AP: Yes, as a matter of fact, I’ve been curvy since high school and I’ve always had a bubble butt.

BM: What disadvantages do you have beingan urban model?

AP: Well, since I’ve been in the game I feel like sometimes it’s hard to get a white girl booked on a video shoot or magazine. Sometimes it’s just dealing with some of the racial conflict that still exists, but lately I’ve been doing my thing and proving some wrong.

BM: Do you think having sizing 40 or more hips inhibits most models?

AP: Definitely not, in urban modeling booty is definitely the key.

BM: Where do you train if you’re acting?

AP: I’m currently not training. I plan on attending the Actors Studio in Atlanta.

BM: Do you have a commercial head shot?

AP: Yes.

BM: Do you understand that withoutthese things on your resume that your career if any, might be short?

AP: Yes.

BM: Favorite drink?

AP: I don’t drink but I might sip on a little Coconut Ciroc.

BM: Favorite food?

AP: I love Mexican food, tacos and enchiladas, foods of that sort.

BM: Mood music?

AP: Definitely Jodeci.

BM: Favorite vacation spot?

AP: Cancun

BM: Favorite place to be kissed?

AP: The inside of my thighs.

BM: Favorite place to kiss him?

AP: Whatever makes him happy.

BM: How often do you measure yourself?

AP: Every couple of months.

BM: Are you proud of your curves?

AP: HELL, YES! Most white girls don’t have curves like these.

BM: What curvaceous celebrity do you identify with as a role model for success?

AP: I love Coco.

BM: Have you invested money into your career?

AP: Yes, I feel that you have to spend money to make money. You always need to market yourself.

BM: Do you or would you work a 9 to 5 until your career takes off?

AP: I don’t right now, but I don’t see a problem with it.

BM: If you had an agent would you refer all assignments to them as in your agreement, or do you feel you should take some work without informing them?

AP: I would not take work without informing my agent.  This industry is dangerous and you never know what could happen.

BM: How do you feel about magazines like Elle and Vogue, do you think they should feature more curvaceous women?

AP: Yes, I do.

BM: How do you plan to change the game?

AP: I plan to be humble and pay attention to everything around me and wait on my blessing and calling to come.
