Angela Yee Radio Raunch Queen

Posted by BMD Admin on 07/25/2012

Radio personality, Angela Yee, is the quintessential mover-and-shaker. Starting her career as part of the staff at Wu-Tang Management, Yee fully immersed herself in the growing industry that was consuming the Hip-Hop culture. Yee later moved on to other facets of the music industry, eventually landing a gig on Sirius Satellite radio co-hosting a morning show called “The Cipha Sounds Effect” alongside DJ Cipha Sounds on Shade 45. This is where Yee would find her niche.

Yee eventually landed her own show, “The Morning After With Angela Yee” and “Lip Service”—the show that would give the “Blasian” girl from Flatbush Brooklyn the title of “Radio Raunch Queen.” On “Lip Service” Yee discusses relationships, sexual encounters, favorite sexual positions, and many other juicy topics with some of today’s hottest stars.

What to some may sound taboo has become a stepping-stone for Yee. Her no holds barred questions and exotic look made a spicy combination for an insightful and alluring one-on-one chat. Some of the unsuspecting individuals who have sat in the “hot seat” over the years have included R&B singer, Joe, Chico Debarge, Amber Rose, Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Ghostface Killah, Fabolous, and many more. After a successful run on Shade 45, in 2010, Yee moved on to host “The Breakfast Club” on New York City radio station, Power 105.1, alongside DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God.

Even though on her new show Yee doesn’t grill stars on their favorite sexual positions and whether or not they go downtown—quite possibly due to censorships and all that nonsense—Yee has taken her “Lip Service” to other mediums. Working together with Vibe Magazine, Yee now delivers her popular show on video and in print. The show is videotaped and runs on and segments of the interviews are transcribed onto the magazine’s print release every other month.

Whether it’s on the web or on the magazine racks, “Lip Service” is a must have for those of you looking for answers to some of those tough questions that you may feel reluctant to ask. No worries, Yee’s got that “Lip Service” for you.
